Most conferences require submissions a few months before the actual conference occurs, so here are some basic dates to keep in mind while completing your research. These international psychology and law conferences are great venues for new and exciting research, including masters theses and doctoral dissertations. Some of these will require you to have your data collected and analyzed at time of submission in order to be eligible to present, so plan ahead!
While this list is by no means exhaustive, below are some of the major conferences in the area to look forward to. NOTE: This post will be updated as new information becomes available.
The Academic International Conference on Interdisciplinary Legal Studies (AICILS) will take place March 6 - 8 in Oxford, United Kingdom. Note that the submission deadline is February 4!
The International Convention of Psychological Science (ICPS) will take place March 7 - 9 in Paris, France. Note that submissions are no longer accepted.
The American Psychology - Law Society (APLS) Conference will take place March 14 - 16 in Portland, United States. Note that submissions are no longer accepted.
The Association for Psychological Science (APS) Convention will take place May 23 - 26 in Washington DC, United States. Note that the submission deadline is November 15!
The Society for Applied Research in Memory and Cognition (SARMAC) Conference will take place June 6 - 9 in Cape Cod, United States. Note that the submission deadline is December 1!
The International Association of Forensic Mental Health Services (IAFMHS) Conference will take place June 25 - 27 in Montreal, Canada. Note that the submission deadline is November 30!
The international Investigative Interviewing Research Group (iIIRG) Conference will take place June 26 - 28 in Stavern, Norway.
The annual conference of the European Association of Psychology and Law (EAPL) will take place July 17 - 20 in Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
The American Psychological Association (APA) Convention will take place August 8 - 11 in Chicago, United States. Note that the submission deadline is December 3!
